How it all started

 

My Holiday Journal was born out of an idea from its author Anthony Ellis way back in 1998 when he devised a simple diary for his children to use whilst on holiday. The children thought it was a great idea and spent many hours recording the fun and adventures they enjoyed on their holidays and then showing it to grandparents, cousins and friends when they returned home.

For years the idea lay as dormant as Anthony's children's old holiday diaries.

That was until 2007 when Anthony, remembering the enjoyment the diaries had given not only to his children but also to their parents, decided to develop and publish the diaries.

Eventually, after many refinements, additions and re-drafts My Holiday Journal was complete.

Anthony's hope is that many many of today's children and their parents can enjoy the new My Holiday Journal the way his children and their Mum and Dad enjoyed those earlier holiday diaries. Not only now but also in the future when the children may remember them and show them to their children
